Members of Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club have launched their annual Christmas gift appeal this week.
The club is encouraging shoppers at Highbridge’s Asda supermarket to donate gifts to needy people in the area by putting them in a special collection box in the store any time until December 13th.
“The public is asked to put something they have bought in the supermarket into the collection box, except perishable items, and the presents will be collected daily and distributed before Christmas,” the club’s Stuart Adams told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“Your help goes to brighten a Christmas for those who have very little. Last year the collection exceeded all expectations. Rotary and Asda hope you will be just as generous this year.”
The collection box is in the store from Monday 14th November until Monday 12th December.
