Cash stolen in 2.30am break-in at Burnham-On-Sea pub

Police are investigating a break-in at a Burnham-On-Sea pub in the early hours of Wednesday morning (July 15th).

Burglars broke into The Rosewood in Love Lane before making off with cash.

A police spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were called to reports of a break-in at The Rosewood at 2.30am. Cash was stolen from fruit machines at the property.”

A spokesperson for The Rosewood added: “The pub was broken into while it was closed and thankfully no-one was hurt. Thanks to the support from the police, everything is now back to normal and we are welcoming customers as usual.”

Police were at the pub during Wednesday gathering evidence. Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
