Crowds turned out to see displays of roses and sweet peas at a show held in Brent Knoll last weekend (June 9th and 10th).
Sanders Garden World provided the venue for the annual Rose and Sweet Pea Show, organised by members of Burnham and Nailsea Horticultural Societies.
Lakin Earl from Highbridge, pictured above, was awarded best in show in the cut flowers class.
Dolly El-Mahdi, Deputy Manager of the garden centre, said: “This is the ninth time we have hosted the show and it was a great success. We received lots of entries and hundreds of visitors came to see the displays.”
“People were able to see top quality roses and sweet peas, as well as other cut flowers and pot plants.”
There were also classes for large flowered roses, climbing/rambling roses, miniature roses, vases and bowls of sweet peas and fuchsias, begonias and pelargonium pot plants.
