Man killed after Land Rover crashes into rhyne near Burnham-On-Sea

Witnesses are being sought following an incident near Burnham-On-Sea early on Tuesday (November 13th) in which a man died.

Police were called to reports of a Land Rover Discovery on its roof in a rhyne, off Pill Road in Rooksbridge, at about 1.40am.

“A man – believed to be in his 30s – is thought to have been one of three people who were in the car. He received treatment at the scene but died later,” a police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The force’s collision investigation unit has issued an appeal for witnesses. Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or may have seen a Land Rover Discovery. Call the force number 101.
