Fire crews were called to Rookery Manor hotel, near Burnham-On-Sea, on Wednesday afternoon (September 9th) after a small blaze broke out in a roof space.
Two fire engines from Burnham-On-Sea and a water carrier were sent to Edingworth Road in Edingworth at 1.50pm after reports of an electrical fire within a roof space.
“On arrival, the crews confirmed that the fire was out but got to work using positive pressure ventilation to clear the smoke in the room,” fire spokesman Paul Slavin told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“The fire started accidentally and damaged a pump in the water tank in the loft and about one square meter of rafters.”
