Burnham-On-Sea motorists told to expect delays along two main roads

-

Burnham-On-Sea motorists are being warned to expect delays over the next weeks as major roadworks get underway in the town.

The first batch of work starts on Monday (October 2nd) along Oxford Street, pictured, and will last for five days until Friday.

A spokesman for Somerset County Council’s Highways Department told Burnham-On-Sea.com that traffic lights would be in place throughout the week and delays should be expected at peak times. The work covers pavement reconstruction and the renewal of kerbing.

Also, three weeks of roadworks are scheduled to begin on Monday 9th October along the B3140 into Burnham-On-Sea.

Traffic lights are set to be in use along the road for three weeks until October 30th while Bristol Water performs work on relining water mains running underneath the road.
