Burnham-On-Sea motorists face month of diversions and delays

-

Burnham-On-Sea motorists face diversions and delays during a series of roadworks over the next few weeks.

Somerset County Council’s highways team has announced several road closures in the Burnham area during January.

Stoddens Lane will be closed to traffic from January 10th for five days during road widening and resurfacing work.

Also, Marine Drive will be shut overnight for five evenings, from 6.30pm to 11.30pm, from January 24th for resurfacing.

And the A38 Bristol Road at Brent Knoll will also be closed overnight from 21st January for five nights while the County Council’s highways team make road repairs, which were postponed last month during the heavy snow.

Traffic lights will also be in operation at the Bristol Road junction with Worston Road in Highbridge for one week from January 13th-21st while footway repairs are carried out.
