Around 150 people attended a concert at Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre which raised funds for the RNLI.
Saturday’s event was compered by RNLI Chairman Ashley Edwards and included entertainment from The Coastline Singers, the U3A Ukulele Band and The Cheddar Male Choir.
The finale, a hymn ‘Those in peril on the sea’, was performed jointly by the groups. A well stocked raffle table raised £304, plus extra funds were raised from a bucket collection.
“In all this was a highly successful evening, with great entertainment,” said a spokesman. Many thanks to all who supported this event – and also to the Friends of the Princess who supplied ushers for the evening.”
