Burnham-On-Sea’s RNLI fundraisers have been recognised with certificates of appreciation during a supporters meeting this week.
The group gathered together at a special meeting in Burnham’s Community Centre, as the station’s Pier Street lifeboat shop re-opened in time for Easter.
During the meeting, Julie Sanby, RNLI Regional Retail Manager, talked about the charity’s retail strategy and its new range of RNLI-branded products. She also presented the certificates to the team.
Julie Sanby said of the volunteers: “You are a great team, and I have great pleasure in awarding these certificates of recognition. Lifeboats are launched by the fundraisers and supporters, because without hem, there would be no RNLI.”
The continuing need for a lifeboat visits and education officer to replace retiring Tony Deahl was also discussed.
