Plans to hold a fundraising car wash at Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station this weekend have been postponed due to the ongoing wintry weather.
The icy conditions means the annual event at the lifeboat station in Pier Street will not be go ahead as planned this Saturday (26th January).
It is the second year running that the event has fallen victim to the weather.
However, a second event is still scheduled to proceed in the spring on Saturday 6th April.
The ‘Soap Our Saloons’ events are held as part of the RNLI’s national SOS fundraiser. All over the UK, schools, businesses and families will be holding are planning fundraising events with an SOS theme, such as Sizzle our Sausages, Stars Or Stripes and Swap our Stuff.
