Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station’s crewmembers are making final preparations for their sell-out fundraising ball on Saturday 24th October.
The organisers have sold a total of 312 tickets and potentially filled Batch Farm at Lympsham to the brim.
Guests will be entertained by the popular local band Riverbrew and a DJ.
Supporters have been very generous, with the owner of Burnham’s Royal Clarence Hotel donating a new bike for the event’s charity auction.
Event organiser Lesley-Ruth Hart told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We have been truly overwhelmed by the number of tickets sold this year and the support offered by many local and national companies by way of auction and raffle items.”
“A lot of effort has gone into this event and guests are set to have a brilliant night to raise much-needed funds for the Burnham RNLI boat appeal. For those who couldn’t get tickets for this year, keep your eyes peeled for the next one!”
“We have about 35 auction items including a state of the art Kayak from Fatyak, memberships for the local gym and swimming pool, a spa day at Bath Thermal Spa and a signed football. There are also some fantastic raffle prizes to be won on the night, many donated by local companies and one lucky ticket holder will win a night’s stay at the prestigious RNLI college in Poole.”
