A big project to refurbish Burnham-On-Sea’s Ritz Social Club is underway, with work due to be completed over the next few weeks.
The club’s Travers Suite in Victoria Street is being given new flooring, carpets and decor as part of a modernisation programme valued at more than £4,000.
Chairman Paul Hale told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are really pleased with how the work is going – the suite is well used by people for parties and special functions.”
“It has been neglected in the past, but the club’s new committee want to turn it into a modern facility for use by members and residents across Burnham.”
“The new look is due to be completed by the middle of December in time for the club’s members party on December 17th.”
The long-running club has hundreds of members and is planning additional improvements in the future.
