Over £6,000 has been raised this year for local good causes from weekly quiz nights held at Burnham-On-Sea’s Ritz Social Club.
The popular weekly Friday quizzes have been well supported throughout 2018 for local charities, clubs and societies.
The club in Victoria Street is now calling on community groups to come forward to book quiz nights during 2019.
Paul Hale, general manager at the Ritz Social Club, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We have been really pleased with the amount raised this year and all the support that the local people give to the charities and organisations.”
“Over the last three years we have raised over £22,000, which is a staggering amount of money!”
“The Ritz have already begun taking bookings for next year and the dates for Friday nights are filling up quickly so if you are looking to raise money for your organisation you are advised to make contact with Mike Barsby, quiz coordinator on 07936 538263.”
