Burnham-On-Sea fire crews rescued a man stuck in waist-deep water in a rhyne early on Sunday (June 24th).
Crews were called to Brean Road in Lympsham at 2.15am where the man was in diffculty.
“Fire engines from Weston and Burnham-On-Sea were mobilised, with a water rescue unit from Bedminster, to a report of a male in a rhyne,” confirmed a fire service spokesman.
“On arrival, the incident commander confirmed a male was in waist-deep water. the male was rescued by fire service personnel using a triple extension ladder and water rescue equipment.”
“The man was left in the hands of the Police who were also in attendance.”
