A well-known Burnham-On-Sea resident with a military background has proudly paid his respects to those who died in the second World War.
Tony Moore, a retired Captain, served many years in the British Army and until a few years ago was the standard bearer for Burnham’s branch of the Royal British legion.
His daughter, Karen, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Many people know my father due to his love of dogs. He can often be seen walking his dogs in rain, wind or sun.”
“He celebrated VE Day by proudly wearing his army uniform when he took his dogs out for a walk.”
“On such an important day my father was proud to put on his uniform which he wore to serve Queen and country. He’s happy to be fit and healthy for a 85-year-old.”
