Crowds of people flocked to a rescue services day at Brean Leisure Park on Saturday (July 7th).
The event was held to celebrate the work of our local emergency services, and many of Burnham-On-Sea’s rescue services attended.
They included the RNLI, BARB Search & Rescue and Burnham Coastguards, plus the Royal Life Saving Society, Avon & Somerset Constabulary, Avon Search & Rescue, Somerset & Dorset Air Ambulance, St John’s Ambulance and South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.
Sarah House, Director, said: “Water safety is extremely important, and we like to promote this across the park as much as possible, especially due to the volume of visitors we have that not only use our pools, but the local beaches too.”
Burnham-On-Sea’s rescue services day on the town’s seafront will be held on August 19th.
