Burnham-On-Sea’s rescue services will be among the groups attending a rescue services day today (Saturday July 7th) at Brean Leisure Park.
The event, open to everyone, will celebrate the work of our local emergency services, including the RNLI, BARB Search & Rescue and local Coastguards, plus the Royal Life Saving Society, Avon & Somerset Constabulary, Avon Search & Rescue, Somerset & Dorset Air Ambulance, St John’s Ambulance and South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.
Brean Leisure Park’s annual ‘999 Day’ will be held in its front car park from 10am to 4pm. Entry is free, but normal parking charges apply.
Sarah House, Director, said: “Water safety is extremely important, and we like to promote this across the park as much as possible, especially due to the volume of visitors we have that not only use our pools, but the local beaches too. We are very much looking forward to another successful 999 Day.”
Burnham’s rescue services day on the seafront will be held on August 19th.
