Remembrance services will be held in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge today (Sunday, November 11th) as residents pay tribute to those who have died in world wars.
The Burnham branch of The Royal British Legion is holding a Remembrance Day ceremony at the town’s War Memorial outside Burnham hospital in Love Lane, starting at 11am.
In Highbridge, a service will also take place at St John’s Church at 3pm to include a ceremony at the nearby war memorial.
Burnham and Highbridge Mayor Ken Smout will be among the civic dignitaries at both events.
Also, Highbridge War Memorial Trust have arranged a short service of remembrance in the Memorial Garden at Southwell House in Highbridge at 10.50am.
