Residents in Highbridge marked Remembrance Day with a parade through the town, a service at St John’s Church and a wreath-laying ceremony at the war memorial.
Highbridge Mayor Derick Cooper, Lib Dem parliamentary candidate Tessa Munt and County Councillor John Woodman were among the guests at the special event, which buglar Phil Farr-Cox playing ‘The Last Post’.
A second short service will also be held on Wednesday (November 11th) at Southwell House Memorial Gardens in Highbridge at 10.55am when a wreath will be laid by the Town’s Mayoress, Christine Cooper.
