All welcome at Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge regeneration group’s AGM

-

A busy agenda of discussions is promised at the AGM of Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Regeneration Partnership, which will be held this evening (Tuesday, November 18th) at 7pm in Burnham’s Princess Hall.

The event includes a presentation by Fred Faulks of The Highbridge History Group, who has been involved in creating Highbridge’s history panels, which will be installed at various locations across Highbridge in the coming months.

Artists from HABA, the Highbridge and Burnham Artists group, who were involved in the summer arts festival in Burnham and Highbridge, will also be giving a talk about their community project.

And Somerset artist Stefan Jennings, who built the iconic ‘whales tale’ besides the River Brue, will be telling his story about making the work.

A representative of Sedgemoor District Council will be giving a brief overview of the current status of both the Civic Pride Project and the Cultural Quarter Project.

And there will also be a display of active and completed projects from the community development initiative, now in its final year.

Community Development Worker Sue Quatermass told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Everyone is welcome to come along and meet the partnership members and the development worker to discuss ideas and possibilities for the future of regeneration in the Highbridge and Burnham area.”
