Burnham-On-Sea’s week-long sailing regatta continued on Sunday evening (July 3rd) when the town’s traditional tender race was held.
A small flotilla of boats participated in the annual race between Burnham jetty and the sailing club’s pontoons, as pictured here.
With the tide in full flood, those onboard had the difficult task of remaining on course while moving upstream along the River Parrett and into the entrance of the River Brue.
The event was won by Eric Torkilsden, with Matt Windle in second, Trish Windle and Amy Fisher in third, and Steve Short in fourth.
Earlier in the day, eight yachts took part in an early morning race, which was won by Ken Sowden. More details about the regatta are available here.
