Overflowing recycling bins in Burnham-On-Sea, Highbridge and Berrow are set to be a problem of the past, according to Sedgemoor District Council.
The authority this week announced that it is increasing the frequency of its collections of waste.
“Where there is heavy usage of the plastic bottle banks, Sedgemoor District Council has agreed that these will be emptied twice per week from next week, to alleviate the overflow problems, especially in Burnham-On-Sea, Berrow and Highbridge,” Sedgemooor District Council spokeswoman Claire Faun told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
