Over 250 cannabis plants have been seized by police after a drugs factory was found in a home in a quiet area of Burnham-On-Sea.
These exclusive photos from inside the property show the scale of the operation that police discovered during their raid at 18 Rectory Road on Sunday (June 5th).
Sgt Ian Kennett from Burnham Police told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This is a big haul. We’ve seized over 250 cannabis plants, which represent a considerable street value. It is a large set up with a variety of equipment for cultivating the drugs.”
He added: “No one has been arrested yet and we would urge anyone with information or that has seen people coming or going from this property in recent months to get in contact via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or directly with the investigating officer, Katie Fell.”
Burnham-On-Sea.com first reported here how the front door of the home had been smashed open by fire crews on Sunday to gain access.
Police officers were at the scene throughout Sunday and today (Monday) as their investigations got underway. Fire crews were initially called to the home amid concern that a fire had broken out inside – but this proved incorrect.
