Hundreds of people from across the Burnham-On-Sea area flocked to a recuitment fair in the town on Tuesday (February 21st) where local employers promoted their vacancies.
Sedgemoor District Council organised the event at Burnham’s Princess Theatre and Arts Centre, which was also attended by Council Chairman Ian Dyer.
This week’s annual event was aimed at local residents looking for jobs or who are considering a change of employment, or who want more information about improving their employment prospects.
“We had a good turnout for this annual event with lots of interest from job seekers and two vacancies were filled at the event in the first couple of hours,” council spokeswoman Claire Faun told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Employers attending the fair included Army Careers, AVON, Hinkley Point C, Brunel Care, Brean Theme Park, Brean Splash, Breab Play, Unity Farm, Brean Leisure Park, Somerset Care, L & F Training, Burnham-On-Sea Holiday Village, Animal Farm, Brandon Trust, and Somerset Passenger Solutions.
