Highbridge’s Somerset Rebels win sponsor deal with household name

-

Highbridge-based speedway team the Somerset Rebels have secured a new sponsorship deal with a household name this week.

The club has announced their association with Jewsons, a supplier of sustainable timber and building materials.

Club owner Debbie Hancock said: “It is always an exciting time when you bring a new sponsor onboard but especially so when it is one with such a high profile as Jewsons.”

“It is very much a household name and we are looking forward to working with them so that both parties can benefit from this sponsorship arrangement.”

Jewsons’ James Smith added: “We are pleased to be associated with the Somerset Rebels. We are a national company but with our local branch being so close to the Rebels’ home it makes it a perfect association, especially for me personally as I have been a long-term speedway fan. What better team to be involved with than your local side which has the added bonus of having the current world champion riding for them.”

The Somerset Rebels compete in the SGB Premiership, British speedway’s top division, and race from March to October at the Oak Tree Arena at Edithmead, near Highbridge.

The club’s sponsors now include Cases, Salt Express, WNS Network Services, TQ Exel, Jewsons and The Oaktree.
