Organisers of the annual Brean Rally have this week held their presentation night when awards were given to the top drivers and a cheque was presented to Somerset’s air ambulance charity.
The event was held on Thursday (February 23rd) at the Commodore Hotel in Sand Bay, near Weston, when Rod McKenna, chairman of Club RallySport West, expressed his gratitude to all those who helped run this year’s rally.
He thanked the title sponsor, K&R Mitsubishi of Taunton, for their continued support, along with the other backers who include PIAA, Permashine, KallKwik and Wiseman Dairies.
The evening included a showing of the official rally film from this year’s event, which was held at Brean Leisure Park on January 28th and 29th.
A cheque was presented to Nick Pearce from Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, one of the charities supported by this year’s rally, which raised a total in access of £1,100.
Awards were also presented to Taunton-based father and son team Tim and James Self, who finished the rally in 10th overall position and were the best CRSW crew in their Mitsubishi Evo RS.
