The organisers of Brean’s rally handed over a total of £2,460 to two good causes during the event’s annual presentation night on Thursday (February 17th).
Youngsters and leaders from Highbridge’s Dreamscheme travelled to the Commodore Hotel in Weston to receive a share of the money from organiser Rod McKenna, as pictured above, while the remainder went to national charity Help For Heroes.
It follows a very successful rally last month when dozens of cars roared around Brean Leisure Park over the course of two days.
Jason Adams, leader of Highbridge Dreamscheme, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are very grateful to Rod and the Brean Rally team for this fantastic donation which will help towards funding several of our activities over the summer holidays. The children had a great time visiting the rally last month.”
Rod McKenna added: “We are happy to help both these deserving causes. Help For Heroes does a great job in supporting our injured troops, while the Dreamscheme is a great organisation that does a superb job at a local level.”
The money was split with £1983 going to Help For Heroes and £477 to Highbridge Dreamscheme.
