Burnham-On-Sea RNLI bringing back Rainbow Run this August

-

Burnham-On-Sea RNLI is bringing back its fundraising Rainbow Run to the town’s beach this summer.

Registration is open here for the popular annual event, which will be held on August 12th at 2pm.

The 3.5km run will start at Burnham jetty and then takes participants on a run to the iconic lower lighthouse and back.

During the race, runners are covered in multi-coloured powder paint at each of five paint stations along the route.

Participants will receive a medal upon completion of the run and are encouraged to seek sponsorship, for which forms can be provided.

Lesley Hart, organiser of the event, said: “This is a fantastic event for the local community, raising vital funds for our RNLI Lifeboat station.”

Last year’s event attracted nearly 300 people to take part, as pictured here.
