Scores of runners took part in a colourful fundraising run for charity on Burnham-On-Sea beach on Sunday (August 12th).
Organised by Burnham-On-Sea RNLI, the RNLI Rainbow Run was held next to the town’s jetty and saw the participants jogging along the beach while being covered in clouds of dry paint!
The 3.5km run started at Burnham jetty and then took participants on a route to the iconic lower lighthouse and back.
During the race, runners were covered in multi-coloured powder paint at five paint stations. Participants received a medal on completion of the run. The first runner home was Jamie Whithouse.
Burnham Bootcamp also held a warm-up at the start of the afternoon before the entrants started their colourful run.
Lesley Hart, organiser of the event, said: “Massive thanks from all of us here at Burnham RNLI. We were a bit worried about the weather but you all dealt with it and the event was brilliant!”
