The colourful Burnham-On-Sea Rainbow Run is set to return to the town’s beach this Spring.
Burnham-On-Sea RNLI is bringing back the event on May 28th after its debut last summer.
Over 300 people took part in the 2016 event, enjoying a great family day out. This year, the RNLI says it hopes to make it even bigger – and messier – with even more paint!
Every entrant will get a T-shirt, a medal and their own bag of paint for the start line included in their entrance fee.
This year’s event on 28th May will start at 2pm. There are 600 spaces available and prices for this year are £12 per adult and £6 per child, or £30 for a family of four.
Organiser Lesley Hart says: “It’s a great event, getting the local community together and having a bit of fun whilst raising money for their own local lifeboat station.”
Ticket sales are online this year via the Eventbrite ticketing website, however those who do not have internet access can contact Lesley directly to book.
The organisers are also seeking sponsors for the paint points, especially local companies, and anyone interested can call Leslie on 07854 087742.
