Two Burnham-On-Sea residents captured these stunning photographs of a rainbow with a strike of lightning on Saturday evening (April 21st).
The unusual weather conditions came after a hot and humid day of weather in Burnham-On-Sea.
A local weather station in Brent Knoll recorded a peak temperature of 24.2°C (75.5°F) on Saturday afternoon.
During the evening, the humidity led to thunder and lightning – and at one point a brilliant double rainbow was seen arcing over the eastern skyline from Burnham and Highbridge, as photographed here by Bethan Radford (top) and Samantha Timms (right).
“I was outside taking a photograph of the lovely rainbow on Saturday evening and coincidently caught lightning at the same time,” says Samantha.
