Highbridge railway station ticket machine attacked by thieves

-

Thieves have smashed their way into a ticket machine at Highbridge Railway Station in an attempt to steal money from inside.

The electronic pay machine on the northbound platform next to the station’s car park, was discovered by commuters on Wednesday morning (March 3rd).

British Transport Police and local police told Burnham-On-Sea.com that an investigation into the incident is underway.

CCTV footage of the station is to be examined to see whether it holds any clues to the identity of the attackers, who smashed the keypad and badly damaged the bank notes dispenser, as pictured below.

Anyone with information should contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
