Step back in time for Burnham and Highbridge railway history talk

-

The fascinating history of Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge railway stations will be brought to life at an illustrated talk being held in the town this evening (Wednesday, October 13th).

North Sedgemoor Local History Group is holding a slide show and talk on the railway in the 1950’s and 1960’s south of Bristol.

The event will take place at 7pm in the King Alfred School Lecture Theatre, where visitors will be welcome for a small entry fee of just £1 each.

“Many of the slides have never been show to the public before,” the group’s John Strickland told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“The talk will feature railways at Temple Meads, Portishead and Clevedon, Cheddar, Burnham and Highbridge and also down as far as the Isle Of White.”
