Just three incidents reported to Burnham police at Halloween

-

Police say the Halloween weekend passed relatively peacefully with few incidents occurring in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge.

There were just three anti-social behaviour calls in Burnham, which included criminal damage being caused to a car in St Mark’s Road and a telephone kiosk being damaged in Rectory Drive on Sunday evening. There was also a separate incident where eggs were thrown at a property.

Sgt Ian Kennett of Burnham Police said officers were pleased with how relatively crime-free the night had been, but told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Any information which might help to identify the offenders would be useful.”

“There was an operation involving local officers and Special Constables over the weekend with extra high visibility patrols. Leading up to Halloween, posters were also delivered to some shops and residents.”
