A multi-vehicle collision closed Burnham-On-Sea’s Queens Drive on Tuesday evening (August 29th).
Emergency services were called to the four-vehicle accident near the junction with Stoddens Lane at 5.40pm.
“The Fire Service were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving four vehicles – two appliances from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater were sent to the incident,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“Crews confirmed there were no persons trapped, and got to work to make the vehicles safe.”
The road had fully reopened by 7pm.
The road was closed while emergency services were at the scene, with traffic travelling towards Burnham being turned around, as pictured above.
Tailbacks quickly built up around the Edithmead roundabout and back onto the M5 motorway.
