Burnham-On-Sea is celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday with a line-up of special events this weekend.
Many street parties are being held across the town, along with family entertainment on the seafront and beach as part of the town’s celebrations.
The fun continues on Sunday June 12th with fun on the beach from 11am-5pm featuring huge zorb balls, and a sand boat race at 2pm.
There will also be a Youth Parade along the beach from Maddock’s Skade at 4pm with displays by youth groups and performances by local groups and performers.
On Saturday June 11th, a tug of war challenge was held on Burnham seafront followed by a royal-themed fancy dress competiton and a Queen’s birthday concert on The Esplanade from 3pm-6.30pm featuring local groups and performers.
“It will be a fantastic weekend,” said Gaynor. “We have had a lot of interest from local groups wanting to get involved.”
