Youngsters from across Somerset visited a Burnham-On-Sea garden centre this week to attend one of its popular pumpkin carving workshops.
Staff at Sanders Gardenworld hosted two carving workshops to tie in with Halloween and more than 60 youngsters attended to create weird and wonderful creatures from pumpkins.
Among those who took part were Ryan and George Cox and Pheobe and Chloe Morley from Burnham-On-Sea.
Sue Waller, Event Organiser, said: “The workshops were booked up far in advance of the day and proved very popular with both the youngsters and adults. We got through more than 60 pumpkins and lots of wonderful creatures were created by those who took part.”
During the workshops, attendees were given tips and unusual ideas on how to carve pumpkin cats, bats and ghosts.
Sue added: “The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Next year we are hoping to run even more workshops during the day and plan to charge a nominal fee for the event with proceeds going to charity.”
