A bereaved family has raised £1,300 for the Intensive Care Unit at Weston General Hospital through a sponsored fishing match.
Jonathan Puddy, 21, of Burnham-On-Sea was a keen angler before his death in a car accident last August.
His younger brothers, Joshua, Jerome and Jacob, recently organised a fishing match in his memory at Emerald Pool Fishery in West Huntspill and have this week visited the hospital to present the money to Consultant Anaesthetist Dr David Crossley and Matron Julia Stroud.
The Puddy family wished to also thank Titch Williams, who helped them organise the match, and Alan Wilkinson for providing the venue and refreshments and The Tackle Man for providing prizes.
