Burnham-On-Sea property prices forecast to show small gains in 2006
Burnham-On-Sea’s property prices are predicted to show small increases during 2006, according to a report by a leading UK property price forecaster.
Technical Forecasts Ltd believes the cost of homes in both of Burnham’s postcode areas ‘TA8 1’ and ‘TA8 2’ will rise this year, with detatched homes showing the steepest increase.
The company predicts the average cost of a detatched home in ‘TA8 1’ will be £229,231 by the end of 2006 (an increase of almost £10,000 on the year), while semis will average £172,751 (a jump of around £7,000).
It believes terraced homes will be £141,481, rising from the current £135,053, while flats and maisonettes are tipped to show the smallest increase, from £106,829 to £111,555.

The report does not take into consideration other factors, such as the controversial proposal to build wind turbines at Brent Knoll or the conversion of a B&B into a drug rehab centre in Berrow Road – both of which protestors claim could result in property price falls.
