Burnham-On-Sea property prices ‘will rise in 2005’


Burnham-On-Sea’s property prices are predicted to continue rising throughout 2005 according to a survey by one of the UK’s leading property forecasters.

Technical Forecasts Ltd believes the cost of homes in both of Burnham’s postcode areas ‘TA8 1’ and ‘TA8 2’ will rise during the next 12 months, with detatched homes showing the biggest increase.

The forecast predicts the average cost of a detatched home in ‘TA8 1’ will be around £240,000 at the end of 2005 (an increase of approx £10,000 on the year), while semis will average £175,000 (a jump of around £5,000), terraced homes will average £150,000 from the current £140,000. Flats and maisonettes are tipped to show the smallest increase – from £110,000 to £115,000.

In the ‘TA8 2’ postcode area, the average cost of detatched properties will rise from £255,000 to £270,000 (a jump of approx £15,000 on the year) while semis will rise from £175,000 to £185,000, and terraced dwellings will jump from £130,000 to £135,000. The cost of flats and maisonettes will rise from £95,000 to £100,000.
