More than 170 pupils from Highbridge’s King Alfred School attended an end-of-term prom near Burnham-On-Sea on Friday evening (May 28th).
Stretch limousines, Porches and even a jeep were out in force as the Year 11 students arrived in style at Rookery Manor, where the formal Prom Night dance was held.
The school’s Cerrie Williams told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Excitement has been building for this night for several weeks. It’s an important milestone for the pupils.”
Scores of limos were seen around the streets of Burnham, ferrying the youngsters to their special evening – and there were several unusual vehicles in use too, including a horse-drawn carriage.
