Community project launches in Burnham and Highbridge this week

-

A new project for residents in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge to build on and grow new ideas gets underway this week.

Project Blueprint is a design and consultation process run by RIO (The Real Ideas Organisation) for the people of Burnham and Highbridge.

“It aims to help communities within the area to build on and grow new ideas for ways the communities can make the most of the big changes happening in the local area over the next few years,” said Jenny Bishop.

“As part of Project Blueprint, RIO is holding sessions throughout March to make sure local people’s voices are heard.”

“The aim of the sessions is to connect with people in the community to make sure they make the most of the opportunities and investment happening in the area over the next 10 years.”

“The sessions will be a chance to have a say, come up with ideas and contribute to a plan… a blueprint… for projects that will connect people to new opportunities and make the community stronger.”

“The ideas will be using and building on things that are already happening in the area but also help you to think about them differently.”

The sessions are open to all and will be held on Thursday 19th March and on Thursday 26th March from 12pm (lunch provided) at Morland Hall, Highbridge.
