Burnham-On-Sea’s ‘Friends of The Princess Hall’ group will be holding a Cheese and Wine social evening today (Saturday, 17th April).
The event, to be held at the hall, will give local residents a chance to meet, chat and discuss the Friends’ strategy with committee members and also pledge their support.
Admission will be free for members (including a free drink) and just £3 for guests. Doors will open at 7pm for a 7.30 pm start, and there will be an opportunity to purchase further drinks, to supplement the cheese, biscuits and nibbles buffet.
The group’s chairman, John Holmes, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Should the bid from The Friends Of The Princess be unsuccessful we will still be around offering our help, support and knowledge to whoever ends up running the building for as long as it is required.”
“So, whichever way it goes, we still need the help of the community. If you want to see this building remain as a theatre and community facility and run in a similar way as it is now, then please come along and consider joining the group.”
