A power cut left 450 homes in Highbridge without electricity on Wednesday evening (September 21st).
Supplies went off at around 5pm and the cut lasted over an hour for some homes and businesses surrounding Market Street.
Burnham fire brigade was also called to the town when the power cut set off fire alarms at a property in the street, as pictured here.
A spokesman for Western Power Distribution told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A total of 457 customers in Highbridge experienced an interruption of power this evening after a high voltage fault. The cause of the power cut is still being investigated.”
He added: “We apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused.”
