Thousands of homes across Burnham-On-Sea were briefly left without power on Thursday afternoon (January 17th) following an electricty cut.
Western Power Distribution confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com that a tea-time fault had left 10,000 homes in the dark.
“There was a fault at 16.39 on Thursday which lasted no more than a minute,” confirmed the spokeswoman.
“A circuit tripped out and the interruption only lasted while power was transferred over to a reserve supply.”
She apologised for any inconvenience caused by the fault.
