Residents across the Burnham-On-Sea area exprienced a brief power cut last night (Saturday, November 10th).
Western Power Distribution confirmed that 2,717 households were without electricity following the interruption to supplies shortly after 11.30pm.
A spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We suffered a fault with our 33,000 volt network across the area at 11.33pm following a problem near Shapwick.”
“Customers were moved to alternative supplies and some were without power for up to two minutes,” he added. The firm apologised for any inconvenience caused.
