A power cut left 10,000 homes in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge briefly without electricity on Monday morning (June 6th).
Supplies went off at 7.37am and the cut lasted just a few seconds before being automatically reconnected.
Irine Evans, spokesman for Western Power Distribution, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Customers in the Burnham area experienced a short interruption of 15-20 seconds this morning.”
“Our automatic system detected the fault and kicked in to quickly restore supplies. A helicopter was flown along lines in the area but no fault was found.”
She added: “We apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused.”
