Dozens of homes in Burnham-On-Sea town centre were without electricity on Monday following a power cut.
Western Power Distribution told Burnham-On-Sea.com that homes in and around Abingdon Street were without supplies.
“A low voltage fault occurred after a workman cut through one of our low voltage cables,” said a spokesman.
“Supplies to 96 homes were cut at 12.20pm and and we got a team on-site to resolve the problem and restore supplies by 3.17pm.”
The Western Power spokesman apologised for the inconvenience to customers.
