Children boost Burnham-On-Sea police’s drink drive campaign

-

These posters drawn by three local youngsters to highlight the dangers of drinking and driving will be appearing in pubs and shops across the Burnham-On-Sea area this week after being declared the winners of an annual police competition on Monday (December 13th).

Three arty pupils from Berrow School won the top three places in Burnham Police’s annual poster drawing competition.

Isobelle Rihal, Joseph Wall and Daisy Kilduff each received a VIP tour of Burnham Police station on Monday afternoon, where took a visit to the cells, were breath-tested and had their finger prints taken!

Each also received goody bags from Asda, which has sponsored the contest.

“The posters will be displayed in Asda store, plus petrol stations, pubs, clubs and off-licenses in the Burnham area as a reminder about the dangers of drinking and driving,” PCSO Tracey Grobbeler told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“Having the posters designed by the children also serves to highlight the impact that drinking and driving can have on children and families.”
