A new convenience store is set to be opened in the same building as Burnham-On-Sea’s post office this autumn by its new owner.
Malav Desai, who runs Bargain Booze in Burnham-On-Sea High Street, is taking over the town’s post office in Victoria Street.
Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com this week, he said: “I can confirm that Bargain Booze will be staying where it is in Burnham High Street. It is definitely not moving – we are happy with its location.”
“However, I am taking over the ownership of Burnham Post Office and I intend to retain the post office facilities, but am planning to open a new convenience store in the front area.”
He added that the changes to the post office should be going ahead during mid-October.
